Welcome

Welcome to my new blog site.    The title of my blog comes from some words scribbled on a thin shard of paper.  The words were written very small and still barely fit on the paper.  They said: "lil piece of paper; small yet powerful, as are many actions; small, yet powerful"   It reminded me of the old adage, "the pen is mightier than the sword" as well as the idea which Gavroche proudly extolls when he sings:

And little people know

When little people fight

We may look easy pickings

But we've got some bite

 

So never kick a dog

Because he's just a pup

We'll fight like twenty armies

And we won't give up

 

So you'd better run for cover

When the pup grows up!

It also reminded me of the Chinese man standing in front of the row of Tanks in Tiananmen Square on June 4th 1989. 

And of the American revolution which was begun by the signing of a piece of paper declaring our independence and won through a war which began with a shot heard round the world.  

Now I do not have any belief that this blog will be even remotely as influential or revolutionary as those mentioned above but I hope that my thoughts and ideas will be entertaining if not enlightening.
